Understanding How it works

Company Onboarding

Based on your requirements, we will confirm talent availability, process subscription payments, and contracts, and assign software engineers to your organization.

Internship and Training

The developers will kickstart the free 2-month internship program where they'll get familiar with your organization's processes, tools, and frameworks.

Full-time Contract-Offer:

During this 2-year period, your company will pay monthly salaries of 250,000 Naira (Net) in Year 1, and 300,000 Naira (Net) in Year 2, to each engineer, for their services.

We also facilitate exclusive talent management support from start to finish, providing consistent performance management and evaluation for every engineer assigned to your company.

After the internship, the selected engineers are committed to the company for 2 years.

Why am I paying an annual subscription fee?

The1 subscription fee grants you access to this program managed by Decagon which allows you to hire (on contract) the stated number of engineers who are willing to commit to your organization for the next 2 years. If your subscription is not renewed the subsequent year, you still have the engineers you’ve already hired on the contract (committed to you), but you won’t be able to hire a new set of engineers the following year.

Can an engineer decide to opt-out of the employment contract?

The1 subscription fee grants you access to this program managed by Decagon which allows you to hire (on contract) the stated number of engineers who are willing to commit to your organization for the next 2 years. If your subscription is not renewed the subsequent year, you still have the engineers you’ve already hired on the contract (committed to you), but you won’t be able to hire a new set of engineers the following year.

Can I terminate the employment with an engineer that has been promoted to full-time contract staff and get a replacement?

The2 subscription fee grants you access to this program managed by Decagon which allows you to hire (on contract) the stated number of engineers who are willing to commit to your organization for the next 2 years. If your subscription is not renewed the subsequent year, you still have the engineers you’ve already hired on the contract (committed to you), but you won’t be able to hire a new set of engineers the following year.

Can I terminate the employment of an engineer immediately after the internship & training phase ?

The3 subscription fee grants you access to this program managed by Decagon which allows you to hire (on contract) the stated number of engineers who are willing to commit to your organization for the next 2 years. If your subscription is not renewed the subsequent year, you still have the engineers you’ve already hired on the contract (committed to you), but you won’t be able to hire a new set of engineers the following year.

On what grounds can an engineer opt-out of the 2-year contract and not be liable to pay the N1,500,000 fine?
